How to access your WordPress admin area?

Introduction

You’ve just installed the WordPress script to your domain name and would like to get ready to begin designing and developing it; however, you are unsure how to access the administrator part of WP that would allow you to do that? That’s alright! HostArmada is here to assist with that by explaining how you can do it on your own.

Suppose by any chance you’ve stumbled upon this tutorial by accident and would like to know how to install WordPress in the first place. In that case, you can take a look at this HostArmada WordPress installation tutorial.

Alternatively, if you’d like to install WordPress in a subdirectory instead of directly on the domain name, you can check this HostArmada WordPress subdirectory installation tutorial.

How to access the WordPress admin area through the link in the browser?

Now, we are assuming that you’ve already installed or are in the process of completing the WordPress installation!

WordPress will prompt you with details informing you where you installed it and how to access the administration details after you finalize it.

It is important to remember that the default WordPress admin area is accessed by adding /wp-admin to the url.

For example, in this case, the URL for the website is:

https://hostarmadatutorials.com/

So to access the administration area, you will need to add /wp-admin to the end of the URL, just like this:

https://hostarmadatutorials.com/wp-admin/

When the admin login area appears in the browser after you’ve entered it, all you have to do to log in to your WordPress is to type in your username and password.

*Note: Please be aware that adding additional spaces to the password or username may cause an issue with the login. So when you are copy-pasting or entering those login credentials manually, you should watch out for leaving any spaces in front and behind the credentials!

How to access your WordPress admin area through Softaculous?

Now that we’ve covered how to access the admin area through the URL link in your browser, we can also discuss another method of accessing it!

*Note: Keep in mind that this access method is mainly achieved through your cPanel, and WordPress must have been installed via Softaculous or imported into Softaculous to make use of it. If HostArmada transferred the installation from another host or the installation was done manually, this option might be unavailable to you.

Here are the steps!

Step 1. Please access your cPanel.

If you are having issues with that, you can check this HostArmada cPanel tutorial.

Step 2. Type down “Softaculous Apps Installer” in the search field.

Step 3. Inside Softaculous, please navigate to the “Installations” section and click on it to proceed.

Step 4. Under “Installations” you can locate your WordPress, and to the right, you have to click on the WordPress icon.

Step 5. That is what will bring you up to your WordPress Softaculous manager. Here, all you have to do is click on the “Login” button to enter your admin area for WordPress.

Conclusion

May these methods help you manage your WordPress and get started with your online project’s development!
